After the Last Prophet
The Prophet left his Cousin an Imam (Leader), by the will of GOD, to protect the Religion from any changes. After the first Imam, Eleven Imams came one after another until the 12th Imam who was hidden, by the will of GOD, and will appear close to the end of this world

The Last Imam
The last Imam during his time prescribed all subject area’s knowledge in terms or courses. Anyone who learns and gets certified in all areas of Knowledge is allowed to use current commandments of religion to determine actions in current times. They are called Marjah (Guides), and the 12th Imam protects them. Majority are based in Iraq and Iran.

Divisions of Islam
Like with other religions, over time people made different sects of Islam. The difference between Shia Islam and others is that everyone else believes Islam ended with the last Prophet. Shia’s believe in the Imams (Leaders) after Prophet until today as well as Marjah (Guides) so Islam always stays current
